For the document to be up-to-date at all times, we recommend that you renew and update your Eye Passport information regularly.
First, the data will be handled by an optometrist, who will write down your visual acuity, suggestions, and, if necessary, prescriptions. At the ophthalmologist’s appointment, all components of your eyes will be thoroughly examined, and the data will be documented. The Eye Passport also contains a 3D image of your eyes as well as advice from your doctor, prophylactics, treatment, prognosis, and recommendations for your family members. The latter are particularly important for the prevention and early detection of hereditary ocular diseases (e.g. glaucoma).
